STEAM
an object show with only 5 contestants and 1 host
The 5 contestants are stuck on a planet but the host of the show comes with a rocket ship
However, there are only 2 seats, so they decide to do a contest to see who can have the seat.
instead of the contestants getting eliminatned the audience votes on who did the best each round
each contestant is a character based on each letter of the STEAM acronym
S: Science (He/Him)
T: Technology (She/Her)
E: Engineering (They/Them)
A: Art (He/Him)
M: Math (She/Her)
Host: Steam Engine (They/Them)
This show will be made in scratch (to educate them kids)
It will be low budget. Reusing the same 2-4 backgrounds
The focus of the show will be the gadgets and ideas each character shares
Voting system
The voting system will be programmed into scratch itself and will use the cloud blocks.
There will be two things to vote for before each episode
1. Which contestant did the best last contest
2. What the theme of the next episode will be
Plot
The plot will be episodic.
There will be no ovrarching story.
Any character moment will be added natuarally when need be.
Episodes
Each episode will be 1-3 minutes long
The themes for each episode are going to be abstract
For example: infinity
Science explains how the universe might be infinite
Technology teaches the audience how to program an infinate loop in scratch and python
Engineering: (no ideas yet)
Art: Tries to represent how infinity feels. They go abstract this episode, and uses wobbly lines and teaches kids about composition
Math: teaches the kids about fractals
There will be 12 episodes total, the winner is decided on ep 11
Finale
The series ends with the "winner" (the character who got the most votes) going and gets to go home with Steam (their prize)
The winner misses their friends and asks to return to their planet
Steam explains that they cannot go with them if they choose to do this
The winner agrees and returns
The winner and the rest of the contestants combine their skills and build their own rocket ship.
They fly in space together and pass Steam Engine
The show ends
